Matshetshe Primary School

Matshetshe Primary School is a rural primary school nestled in the heartland of Umzingwane district in Matshetshe communal area of Ward 3 under the jurisdiction of Chief Gwebu. The school was established in 1953 by missionaries from the London Missionary Society which later evolved to become the United Congregational Church of Southern Africa (UCCSA). The school was later handed over to Umzingwane Rural District. The school is located on the 51-kilometre peg along the main Bulawayo to Beitbridge road. The school has an enrolment of 408 pupils which has been rising in recent years. The student population is drawn from the two villages of Nhlekiyana and Zinkondweni.A few pupils come from the nearby Ncema Waterworks compound as well as Mzingwane High and Esigodini Agricultural Institute staff quarters. The staff compliment of eleven teachers is well endowed to take the school to the next level.
