Overview of the staff
Matshetshe Primary has a staff compliment of 13 teachers and 3 ancillary workers .Most of the teachers are experienced and accomplished classroom practitioners with a diversified skill base that includes physical education and sport, home economics, art and design, mathematics and linguistic majors .The 3 ancillary workers assist in clerical,maintenance and security.6 teachers are certified university graduates while 2 are studying towards attaining university degrees. They all understand the ethos of the organisation and are always working hard to attain set targets.
A little more about the school head
The current head of the school is Mr Lameck Phiri (Centre) who has been at the helm of the school since 2010. Mr Phiri has 23 years experience as a classroom practitioner and 12 years in school administration. He is a holder of a Bachelor of Education degree in Educational Administration. He also holds positions in zonal and district Naph structures. Under his leadership the school has improved on grade 7 results from 12 % in 2009 to above 70%.
